Every project Fieldzio runs is governed by the same framework: protect confidential information, screen for conflicts, verify every participant, and handle personal data lawfully. This page sets out the commitments behind that framework.
Fieldzio Inc. ("Fieldzio", "we", "us") recruits research participants and subject-matter experts for qualitative and quantitative studies. Our clients trust us with confidential briefs, and our participants trust us with personal data. This compliance framework exists to honor both. It applies to every project, every participant, and every member of our team, and it is reviewed regularly against the industry codes referenced below.
Client briefs, screeners, study materials, and the identity of sponsoring organizations are treated as strictly confidential. We disclose to participants only what is operationally necessary for them to take part in a study. Where a client requests it, we operate fully blinded recruitment in which the sponsor's identity is never revealed.
Participants and experts are instructed, in plain terms, never to share information they are bound to keep confidential. This includes trade secrets, information belonging to a current or former employer, and material non-public information about publicly traded companies. If a discussion approaches territory a participant cannot speak to, the session must stop on that topic. We make this rule explicit before fieldwork begins, and we repeat it in our participant communications.
Recruitment screeners are designed to surface conflicts before anyone is confirmed onto a project. Participants are not placed on studies about their own employer. Where a client's industry or project carries specific sensitivities, we add client-defined screening rules and exclusions, and we honor any do-not-contact or employer-restriction requirements the client provides. Anonymized participant profiles can be shared with the client for review and approval before confirmation on complex, B2B, or healthcare projects.
Every participant we deliver has passed a multi-step process: a structured online screener, a telephone verification call carried out by a team member independent of the original recruiter, and a pre-session re-confirmation. Healthcare professionals undergo an additional credential check before being confirmed on any HCP study. Any participant found to have misrepresented their identity, role, or screener answers is removed from the project and from our panel, and replaced at no cost to the client.
To protect data quality, no participant is placed on back-to-back projects within a 90-day window without the client's explicit approval. Participation history is tracked at the panel level so over-used respondents do not distort your findings.
We process personal data in line with applicable data protection law, including the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation for European data subjects and the California Consumer Privacy Act for California residents. In practice this means: participants join our panel through explicit opt-in consent; we collect the minimum data needed to match people to studies; personal data is never sold; and participants can request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data at any time by writing to info@fieldzio.com. Identifiable participant information is released to a client only with the participant's consent. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Research sessions are recorded only with the participant's informed consent, obtained before the session begins. Participants are told who will have access to recordings and for what purpose. Consent can be withdrawn, and participation in any study is voluntary at every stage.
Healthcare research carries obligations beyond general market research, and we build them into our process:
We do not offer, solicit, or accept improper payments or advantages of any kind, and we comply with applicable anti-bribery and anti-corruption law, including the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Incentives we pay to participants are honoraria for their time, disclosed transparently, and processed promptly after participation. We do not use deceptive recruitment practices, and we never misrepresent the nature or purpose of a study to get someone to take part.
Market research is for understanding, not selling. Our recruitment is never used as a channel for promotion, lead generation, or sales activity disguised as research, and participant data collected for research is not repurposed for marketing.
Our processes are built with reference to the standards that govern credible research worldwide: the ICC/ESOMAR International Code on Market, Opinion and Social Research and Data Analytics, the Insights Association Code of Standards and Ethics, and, for healthcare work, the adverse event reporting guidance published by EphMRA and BHBIA. As we grow, we are working toward formal certification of our quality and information security management systems against recognized international standards.
Where a project requires partner resources, any subcontractor we engage is bound to the same confidentiality, data protection, and quality obligations we hold ourselves to, and we remain accountable to our client for the work delivered.
If you believe any aspect of a Fieldzio project falls short of the commitments on this page, whether you are a client, a participant, or a member of the public, contact us at info@fieldzio.com. Concerns are reviewed by senior management, and participants will never face any disadvantage for raising one in good faith.
This page describes our operating commitments and is reviewed periodically. It does not constitute legal advice and does not create contractual obligations beyond those agreed in a project Statement of Work.
